At Sunnyside Goldens, we are beyond passionate about what we do. Every decision in our program is made with purpose and intention to better the Golden Retriever breed and thoughtfully improve each generation we raise.
We are dedicated to raising exceptional, family-raised Golden Retrievers with structure, care, and intention from the very beginning. Our purpose goes far beyond simply producing puppies. We focus on developing well-rounded, confident, and deeply connected companions through a program built on health, temperament, and early development.
Over the years, we have developed a breeding program rooted in the highest standards. Many of our pairings now consist of third, fourth, and even fifth generations of dogs we have carefully bred, raised, and health tested. This multi-generational approach allows us to produce puppies with consistent temperaments, strong genetics, and the ability to thrive as loyal companions in real homes.
Every pairing is thoughtfully selected with long-term health and temperament in mind. From birth, our puppies are raised in a hands-on, enriched environment where they are exposed to early neurological stimulation, socialization, and structured experiences that help shape who they become. These early weeks matter and we approach them with care, consistency, and intention.
We believe that how a puppy is raised in the first eight weeks has a lasting impact on their future. Our goal is to give every puppy the strongest possible foundation so they can transition smoothly into their new homes and grow into confident, balanced adult dogs.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFYBreeding dogs in our program must have the following:
INTELLIGENCE
Our breeding dogs are intelligent, confident, easy to train and eager to please. They excel in their obedience courses and have been known to be some of the youngest smartest advanced trained obedient dogs.
TEMPERAMENT
Excellent health, peak physical structure and beautiful temperaments are the ESSENTIAL building blocks and requirements in our breeding program.
HEALTH TESTING
Each breeding pair has undergone extensive health & genetic screening tests. These tests include DNA genetic panels, PennHip ratings and/or OFA hip, elbows, eyes and heart.
Vision & Goal
We have a vision and goal with each litter and carefully select our breeding pairs.
